.....Auction Services....
|
|   |
| ... and it's
SOLD! Auctions are a great way to sell personal
property, farm machinery, and real estate. We have
knowledge and experience, and we work with the speed and
integrity needed for a successful auction. If you are considering having an auction, please contact
us. The following guidelines will help answer questions
you may have about our services. |
 |
|   |
| 1. |
Things
to keep in mind while packing boxes: Put like items in a
box. Pack your best tablecloths in a separate
box. Wrap breakables in towels, cloths, doilies
instead of newspaper. Wash or dust items as
needed. Collections of buttons, thimbles, pens,
marbles, etc., could be divided into equal portions and
put in zip lock baggies, or glass or plastic jars. |
| 2. |
Don't
throw any items away - your junk may be other people's
treasure! If in doubt whether to throw or keep,
please call us. |
| 3. |
If
you wish to place a reserve bid on an individual item of
sentimental value, please discuss this with us prior to
sale day. |
| 4. |
A
public restroom must be on the sale premises. You
have the choice of allowing the public to use your
personal restroom or of renting a porti-potty
(approximately $50 - $60). |
| 5. |
The
auctioneer's fee will vary according to the type of
auction, such as farm, household, real estate, etc., and
will cover the cost of labor during the sale day by the
auctioneers, clerk, cashier and ring workers, including
reasonable set-up and clean-up services. Extra
packing or set-up labor prior to auction time, as well
as extensive clean-up labor and hauling trash to the
dump will be an additional charge. A fee may be
charged for consignment items that do not sell at
reserve bid price. |
| 6. |
We
normally place advertisements in the following papers:
Lindsborg News-Record, McPherson Sentinel, Salina
Journal, and Grass & Grain. If you have other
ideas for advertising, please let us know. |
| 7. |
Expenses
paid for by seller: Auctioneer's fee, additional labor
needed, advertising costs, building or porti-potty
rental, if any, and possibly other miscellaneous
expenses specific to your sale. |
| 8. |
The
auction team will collect payment for buyers and disperse
the funds to pay bills incurred by the auction.
Funds will be dispersed a minimum of one week after the
auction. You will be given a Final Settlement
sheet of the auction which itemizes proceeds and
expenses, a copy of the ticket for each item sold, a
copy of buyer's registration, and your proceeds check. |
